The Lumex® Mark 1 Lift Chair has been designed for use in a variety of environments, including nursing facilities, physician offices, post-operative recovery rooms and the home. The Lumex® Mark 1 Lift Chair functions both as a lift chair and as an adjustable height hip chair in a space that is about a quarter of the area that a typical lift chair would require.
• As a lift chair, the Lumex® Mark 1 mechanism lifts the user from seated to standing positions in a more vertical posture than standard lift chairs. This vertical motion helps the user maintain a more balanced posture when sitting or standing up from the chair.
• The direct drive motor with worm gear actuator allows for a very smooth and gentle lifting motion that is easily controlled by the ergonomic switch conveniently located under the front of the arm.
• As a hip chair, the reduced seat depth and the adjustable seat height of the Lumex® Mark 1 facilitates the proper positioning of the patients body reducing stress on the hip and knee joints, crucial for proper healing. Unlike traditional hip chairs with stationary seat heights, the Lumex® Mark 1 Lift Chair can be infinitely adjusted in seat height to properly fit the user.
• The reduced overall dimensions of the Lumex® Mark 1 make it the perfect size for apartments, next to a bed or in a physician's office. Two rear leg mounted wheels allow the Lumex® Mark 1 to be easily moved within a room, between rooms or within a common area.
